Tim was born in Anchorage, AK. His family moved to SC where Tim eventually made his way to Atlanta, GA in his early 20s. Painting and drawing at a very early age gave him the passion to pursue art school. After graduating he realized animation, his degree focus, was not his destiny. Tattooing had always been a dream and once his daughter was born he knew he had to follow that dream.

Moth primarily focuses on black and grey tattooing but enjoys working with color as well. His current style of choice would be the engraver’s style; pure line work similar to a cross hatch style.
